Welcome to Morocco! We'll be waiting to meet you at Marrakech airport to transfer you into the city and to your accommodation (depending on the time of your arrival). The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.

Today, we'll head through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the amazing desert views along the way and stopping to explore the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou. Once we arrive at Dades Gorge, you can either hike or relax at your hotel.

Desert Adventure (B/D)
It's an early start today as we pick you up from your accommodation at 7AM and make for the Atlas Mountains. We'll be driving over the stunning Tizi.n.Tichka mountain pass and passing through lots of Berber villages along the way, so sit back and enjoy the view. Once you're in the desert, marvel at riverside oases and barren hillsides dotted with kasbahs (fortified dwellings that house families and their livestock). You'll have the option along the way to either take a break and visit the Ouarzazate Film Studies, as well as stop by Ait Benhaddou and explore it with a guide. This is an ancient fortified city containing countless kasbahs and has been the atmospheric subject of numerous Hollywood flicks like The Mummy, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and more. Once we arrive at Dades Gorge, you'll have the option of doing a hike or simply relaxing at your hotel.

Today, you'll visit the mighty Todra Gorge and go on a hike to explore the palmery. You'll then embark on a sunset camel ride through the desert dunes to a traditional Berber camp where dinner awaits. Spend tonight in the heart of the desert, sleeping under the stars or in tents.

Todra Gorge and Desert Camp (B/D)
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation and we'll then journey on to Todra Gorge - a massive fault dividing the High Atlas mountains that rise up 300 meters in a narrow valley with palmeries and Berber villages. You'll be able to go on a hike to explore the palmery - a green oasis full of large date palms. After lunch, we'll head deeper into the desert to the gateway town of Merzouga to pick up supplies for your desert trip. Next stop will be driving on to a kasbah to pick up your camel! There's truly no better way to experience a desert sunset. As the sun gets low in the sky, you'll trek an hour and a half by camel to a Berber camp where the locals will prepare you a traditional Moroccan dinner. Enjoy sleeping under the stars or in tents tonight - it's an experience like no other.

After a sunrise camel ride, you'll get a chance to freshen up before we make our way back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.

Camel Ride and Marrakech Transfer (B)
You'll wake up just before the sun rises today - it's an early start but we promise it's worth it! You'll start the day with another trek by camel to explore the area as the sky begins to light up. We'll head back to Merzouga on camelback and arrive in time for breakfast. You'll have the chance to shower and freshen up before we begin our journey through the stony desert and over the Atlas mountains. It's a long drive back but there'll be plenty of stops for photos, exploring and lunch along the way. We'll reach Marrakech between 5-6 PM and you'll spend the night here.

After accommodation check-out, we'll transfer you to the airport in time for your return flight.
